Formal gowns are cut long so they can be fitted to you. Our hemming service takes your Lara New York gown to the right length for your height and the shoes you plan to wear, so you can walk, dance and take photos without tripping or catching the hem.

Bring the shoes you will wear to your fitting so we can mark the hem exactly. This service is for beaded, lace and layered gowns; for a simple unembellished dress, choose Hemming - Plain Dress.

Alterations are done by our in-house seamstress at both of our showrooms: 49 W 37th St in Manhattan and 99 Jericho Turnpike in Mineola. See our alterations information page for details, or book a fitting appointment.
