Lara New York is a designer and manufacturer of luxury occasionwear, specializing in Mother of the Bride, Mother of the Groom, wedding guest, bridal, prom, cocktail, and evening dresses.

For over 40 years, we've helped women celebrate life's biggest moments through exceptional design and personalized service. We're looking for someone who loves fashion, enjoys connecting with people, and wants to help grow an exciting fashion brand.

About the Role

This is more than a retail position.

You'll work directly with customers in our New York City showroom while also helping Lara grow through content creation, influencer outreach, boutique partnerships, and special events.

Responsibilities

Customer Experience

  • Style customers for weddings, galas, proms, and special occasions
  • Assist with appointments and dress fittings
  • Deliver a luxury, personalized shopping experience
  • Build relationships that turn first-time shoppers into lifelong customers
  • Help maintain a beautiful and organized showroom

Social Media & Content

  • Create Instagram and TikTok content
  • Participate in videos and styling content
  • Brainstorm new content ideas
  • Help grow The Dress Desk and Lara's social presence
  • Stay up to date on fashion and social media trends

Brand Growth

  • Reach out to influencers, stylists, bridal boutiques, and wedding professionals
  • Help coordinate trunk shows and in-store events
  • Assist with influencer gifting and collaborations
  • Support marketing initiatives and brand partnerships

We're Looking For Someone Who Is...

  • Friendly, confident, and personable
  • Passionate about fashion and styling
  • Comfortable talking with customers
  • Active on Instagram and/or TikTok
  • Comfortable creating content and appearing on camera
  • Organized, reliable, and proactive
  • Excited to learn and contribute ideas
  • Interested in growing with a fashion brand

Retail experience is a plus, but personality, communication skills, and initiative matter even more.

  • Fashion retail

  • CapCut
  • Influencer outreach
  • Event planning
  • Customer service
  • Fashion school or marketing

Schedule

  • Part-time
  • Primarily Saturdays and Sundays
  • Based in our Manhattan showroom
  • Occasional opportunities to work from our Mineola, Long Island showroom are a plus
